Martin T. Sears, 92, died at his home in Las Cruces. A World War I veteran, he moved to Las Cruces after the war to attend vocational school at NM A&M and later became an area farmer.
He was retired from the International Boundary Commission.
Funeral services were held at Graham's Mortuary, with the Rev. George Brown of the Mesilla Valley Christian Church officiating. Burial followed in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
He was survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Arthur of Las Cruces and William of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were V.M. Fernandez, Larry Conwell, Walter Heinzman, Dennis McCullough, Walter Pettigrew, and Billy Roark.
