Norman C. Knable, 64, at the rear of 618 Church Street, Huntingdon, died Sunday, October 31, 1971 in J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for the past few years.

Born March 4, 1907 in Orbisonia, he was a son of Clarence Blair and Effie Margaret (Hoffman) Knable. He married Mary Gallagher Glorioso in November 1952 in Maryland.

His wife survives, as does a son Clarence (Sonny) Knable, and a step-son, Herve Glorioso, both of Huntingdon. There are seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Heffner, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Martin Schmittle, Elizabethtown.

The deceased was of the Protestant faith.

He had been employed as a trucker with C. A. Shetrom, Inc. of Huntingdon for 27 years and had also worked in Matt's Bar, Huntingdon for a few years.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 2 at 2 p.m. from the Peters funeral home, Huntingdon. The Rev. Steven E. Crile will officiate and interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon.

A the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing, and it was also requested that flowers be omitted.
