Didier, Everett George

Bay City, MI

On August 27, 2014, Everett left his earthly home and went to be with the Lord. He was 95 years old. He was born in Flint, MI on May 14, 1919 to the late Guy Everett and Annie Elizabeth (Mitchell) Didier. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 18. Prior to retirement he was the owner of Didier Auto Body Shop. Everett was a very active member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Ann, 2 children: Penny Kurchak and friend Ron Atwater, Lynn Ann Didier and husband John Karwoski, 4 step-children: Steven (Patty) Bryant, Cindy (Tom) Childs, Bruce Bryant and Brenda Moffett, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother Jay (Mary) Didier and a sister Judy (Jim) Wineman as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3360 Midland Road, Bay City. The Rev. Lee Austin will officiate. Military Rites, by the Bay County Veterans Council, will be provided immediately following the funeral service at the church. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Saginaw. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, Hospice Advantage or a charity of the donor’s choice. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. He will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.
