Darlene Peterson was born March 6, 1945, in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Lyle and Helen (Hvinden) Peterson. She spent her early years on a farm in Hillsdale Township in Eddy County, ND. Later the family moved to nearby Warwick where she attended and graduated from high school there in 1963. She received a degree in Sociology from Mary College and served as a social worker at Fourth Corporation in New Rockford for several years. She was devoted to her clients, and was keenly interested in their well-being.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, WELCA’s Martha Circle and also a dedicated member of New Rockford’s Kiwanis Club.
She is survived by her sister LaVonne (Brian) Fingerson; brother Larry Peterson; brother-in-law David Egbert; one niece; three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Donna Egbert.
