Sarah Smith, 79, of Athens, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at her residence.
She was born April 28, 1926, in Limestone County. She was a member of the Coxey Church of Christ in Athens and was retired after working as a nurse for Dr. E.G. Norwood for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Smith of Athens; one son, Paul Smith Jr. of Athens; three daughters, Janet Chandler, Angela Black and Mona Boyer, all of Athens; one brother, Dick Bedingfield of Mobile; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
