Ida was born Oct 21, 1925, in Baker City, Oregon to Ira T and Jane B Allen. She was a long time resident of Idaho and Oregon. She attended school in Weiser, Idaho. She moved to Boise in 1961. Ida married Edward W Simmons Oct 23, 1971 in Boise, Idaho.
Ida loved to bowl and was the secretary of her league. She loved to spend her summers riding horses in Idaho's back country. Ida and Ed enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona, prowling the desert on 4-wheelers.
She is survived by her husband, Ed W Simmons of Kuna, Idaho, sons, Terry L Bergquist of New Plymouth, Idaho; Bill L Smith of Baker City, Oregon; Andrew Max Smith,Jr; daughter, Eva L Stamper of Grangeville, Idaho; step-son, Robert S Simmons of Boise; step-daughter, Debra A Cope of San Jose, California; one half brother, Harold Allen of Madras, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
