Melva Darlene Cameron, 80, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away August 24, 2014 at the St. Luke Hospice House. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel 1600 West Main St. Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the chapel. Burial will immediately follow at New Salem Cemetery in Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice 3516 Summit St, KCMO 64111.

Darlene was born January 12, 1934 in West Plains, MO to Robert F. and Velma E. (Driscoll) Bailey. She was a receptionist for the Monterey Park Nursing Home. Darlene loved quilting, crafts, antique restoration, and attending auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Marguerite and infant sister Goldie.

Survivors include daughter Jacqueline Masters and husband Pat of Independence, MO. Sons Dwaine Watson of Jacksonville, FL, Steven Watson of Kansas City, MO. Grandchildren William “Bill” Rist and wife Melody of Blue Springs, MO, Brandy King of Texas, Moncia Tuell and husband Brian of Buckner, MO. Great-Grandchildren Buddy Rist, Noah Watson, and Jarrett and Meadow King.
