Ronald E. Barr Sr., 70, of Lower Burrell, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Jan 18, 1936, in Cool Springs, Jefferson County, and had lived in the local area since 1950. He previously had resided in Meadville.
Mr. Barr was the proprietor and operator of Barr's Auto Service and Sales, Arnold, a business he ran for the past 45 years.
He was a member of Arnold United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, horseshoes, euchre and sports and was an avid football and Steelers fan.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Leona M. Roberts Barr; son, Ronald E. (Joann) Barr Jr. of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Christine Chambers and Rachel and Ronald E. III Barr, and stepsister, Alexandria (Barry) Masters, of Pittsburgh.
He was predeceased by daughter Natalie Jean Barr Reid, father Clair E. Barr, mother Pauline Horm Klimenko, brother Leslie Barr and sister Sarah Mae DeLancy.
Friends were received at the Rusiewicz of Lower Burrell Funeral Home where services were hold Friday with the Rev. Karen Prescott officiating.
