Leona was born to Charles Leon Richens and Alice Fay Bennett June 29, 1977 in Ogden, Utah and lived most of her life in Vernal.

Leona married Michael D. Rowley on July 10, 2013.

She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and crafts, yard work and the outdoors.

She took great pride in her husband Michael and her three children: Charles Keith, Christopher, and daughter Breana by previous marriages.

Leona always said the most important things in life was to love and be loved.

She always gave more than she received. She gladly went without so others could have.

She touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with.

Her happiness glowed and spread to all that were around her.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Leon Richens; her grandparents, Melvin and Jean Richens; Grandmother Lilla Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rowley; sons, Charles Keith D'Anza of Grand Junction, Colorado; daughter, Breana Oaks of Vernal; mother, Alice Richens; sister, Dusty (David) Riding; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for Leona Richens Oaks Rowley, age 37, will be conducted on Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.

Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the services all at the Mortuary.

Burial will be in the Dry Fork Cemetery, services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
