Dorothy went to be with Lord Jesus Christ on August 20, 2014. She died at Nature Coast Lodge under the care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born April 9, 1931 in Helen, WV to Dave and Opal Cadle. She moved to this area 49 years ago from Bassett, VA, where she was employed by the Bassett Furniture Co. She was also employed by Geriatric Center of Crystal River where she retired. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She also loved knitting, making gifts for family and friends and listening to music.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Dewey Austin and Roy Giddens, brother, David Cadle and sister, Francis Shuck. Survivors include 2 sons, Jerry Austin and his wife, Susan of Homosassa and Danny Austin and his wife, Bonnie of Ripplemead, VA, step son, Randy Giddens and his wife, Susan of Lecanto, 2 sisters, Shirley Honeycutt and Cindy Cadle, both of Harrisburg, PA, 2 grandchildren, Dana Davis of Crystal River and Jeremy Austin of Manassas, VA, 2 great grandchildren, Kevin Davis and Kathryn Price and one great-great grandchild, Isaiah Davis. She will surely be missed.
