1942. Gerri was a long time resident of the Poplar Bluff area. She spent her youth at the Collins store on W Hwy. She married Donnell Johnson October 1, 1960. He survives. They lived in several southern Missouri locations before returning to Poplar Bluff in 1978 to finishing raising their family.
Gerri worked at the Bank of Poplar Bluff and later years at Grecian Steak House before retiring. She enjoyed collecting rocks with her husband, sewing and any type of crafts.
She is survived by one son, James Donnell Johnson and wife Kimberly, and one daughter, Kim Johnson; two grandsons, DustyJohnson and wife Erica, Nathan Rice and wife Selia; one
granddaughter Katie Rice; and two great grandchildren, Beckett and Delaney Johnson all of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be at 1 PM Wednesday at First General Baptist Church on Main St. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM at the church. Pastor Dick Murray will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetry.
