Mrs. Ray McCormick

Mrs. Ray (Catherine)[sic] McCormick, 74, of 2025 Lafayette Circle, died this morning in a Temple hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oaklawn Baptist Church, the Revs. Lester Adams, Rod Coleman, Paul Smith and J. Henry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.

Mrs. McCormick was born in Kentucky and came to the Waco area as a child. She married Ray McCormick Nov. 5, 1922, in Waco.

She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school in all the church's departments. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Union and a charter member of the Primrose Quilting Club.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Lester (Nan) Adams, Mrs. Rod (Ann) Coleman, and Mrs. Mary Jones, all of Waco, and Mrs. Jack (Martha) Culverhouse of Tyler; two sons, Billy R. McCormick and Louis McCormick; two sisters, Mrs. Bobbie Back Gee of Lubbock and Mrs. Francis Back Hyden of Tyler; a brother, L.A. Back of Lorena; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
