Adam Edward Hill was born in Stanly County, N.C., the son of the late George Washington and Bertha Edwards Hill. He was a retired salesman and branch manager for Lance Inc. where he was employed for 30 years, serving in Charlotte, N.C., Texarkana, Texas and Florence. He was a U.S, Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. e was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Vickery Hill of Florence; two sons, George Anthony Hill of Evart, Mich., and Joseph Edward Hill of Florence; three sisters, Marilyn Rose Price of Charlotte, N.C., Barbara Ann Rogers and Georgia Kay Hartis, both of Indian Trail, N.C.
