She was a native of Screven County and was a homemaker. During WWII, she worked in a military uniform factory. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Augusta and a former member of Middleground Baptist Church in Screven County. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Robert Stuart; parents, Walter W. and Janie Walker McGee; sisters, Esther McGee, Lucy Sheppard, Ruth Sasser and Elizabeth Evans; brothers, Leon McGee, Clyde McGee and Emory McGee.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley S. Owens of Casselberry, Fla. and Cecile Stuart of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. and Carmen Stuart of Rogers, Ark.; two grandchildren, Laura Bomhoff of Casselberry, Fla. and Tyler of Gastonia, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Anna Bomhoff of Casselberry, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 14, 2006, 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Darnell Barner officiating.
