James Hugh "Jim" McKnight, 87, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed from this life Thursday, August 21, 2014.
Jim was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 10, 1926, to James T. McKnight and Edith (Bolton) McKnight-Reed. Very shortly after graduating from High School, Jim served his country in the U. S. Navy. On May 3, 1952, in Cyril, Oklahoma, he was married to Opal Brown. They were married almost 58 years prior to her death in March of 2010.
Preceding Jim in death was his parents James T. and Edith McKnight; son Paul McKnight; and grandson Justin McKnight.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Jim will be Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 10:00am, in the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be in Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, Oklahoma at 3:00pm. Visitation for Jim will be Monday, August 25, 2014, from 8:00am until 8:00pm. (Mobley Dodson)
