Audrey J. Heberer, 78, of the town of Auburn, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, August 22, 2014, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.

She was born on February 11, 1936, in West Bend, the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Fuller) Reuter, and on June 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to Roger Heberer in West Bend. Audrey and Roger were blessed with three daughters.

After raising her family, Audrey was employed by the Kewaskum School District Lunch Program cooking and baking for more than 17 years.

Audrey was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and St. John's Altar Guild in New Fane. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting and quilting. She crocheted many beautiful items including baby blankets. Audrey loved spending time with her family, friends, traveling and spending winters in warm climates. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.

Those Audrey leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 61 years, Roger; three daughters, Linda (Paul) Luterbach of Campbellsport, Mary (Randy) Strupp and Wendy (George) Dondlinger both of West Bend; four grandchildren, Sherry(Trent) Nedens, Bradley (Brenda) Luterbach, Andrea (Chad) Eddy and Jason (Jenna) Dondlinger; two step grandchildren, Ross (Amanda) Strupp and Nichole Strupp; six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Noah and Garrett Nedens, Kiera and Mikaela Eddy and Jaxon Dondlinger; three step great-grandchildren, Brendan Manry, Kyla and Liam Strupp; two sisters-in-law, Deloris Reuter of West Bend and Shirley Reuter of Mattoon, and many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Braun-Hackbarth; two brothers, George and Robert Reuter; two brothers-in-law, Alois Braun and Virgil Hackbarth and a grandson, Craig Jung.

Funeral services for Audrey will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Audrey's family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to Alzheimer's Association or St. John Lutheran Church are appreciated.

The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Audrey's arrangements.
