On Tuesday noon the remains of Mrs. Ann McCall, of Bath, were buried in the Corning Cemetery. She was eighty-nine years of age, and was the mother of Ansel J. McCall Esq., of Bath, and was the widow of Ansel McCall, who died in this town in 1816, being then the owner of the mill property a mile east of the present village of Corning. He was the most enterprising business man of the old town of Painted Post, at his death, and distinguished for his benevolence and Christian zeal. His widow built a house in Knoxville, and resided there for nearly twenty years, when she removed to Bath, and after her son's marriage, she resided with him till her death.
