Aaron was married to Rebecca Dunlop (Osburn) 17 April 1855, Harrison County, Ohio. She was the daughter of William Barnes and Rebecca (Rankin) Osburn. She died 14 February 1902, Washington County, Iowa and is presumed to be buried in the same cemetery as her husband. They were the parents of six children: Sarah Elizabeth married Laurence Olonzo "Lon" Brindley; William Henry married Lydah (Darrah); David Albert never married; Anna Mae died 30 March 1868; Cora, a twin, died 15 June 1870, and Maude Daugherty, the other twin, never married.
