Ebenezer is the sixth child of ten born to Joshua Brainard and Mehitable Dudley.He was united in marriage to Mary Olmsted who was born 1 Oct 1729 in East Haddam.
ELEAZER Brainerd, son of Joshua and Mehitable [Dudley] Brainerd. He married Mrs. Mary Bates, widow of James Bates in 1755 and lived in an early Cape on Main Street which is still standing. He died in 1799 and she in 1788. They were buried in the Landing Burying Ground just down the street from their home. They were not buried in the Old Cove Burying Ground. There are no gravestones for the two as they never had any.
