Asaph Stackhouse, of Morstein, for a number of years a motorman on the West Chester street Railway running between West Chester ad Coatesville died at his home at Morstein at 6:30 o'clock last evening. He had been ill since last spring. Death was due to a heart condition He was in his 82nd year.

STACKHOUSE- At Morstein, on Sept. 27, Asaph Stackhouse in the 82d year of his age.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from the Funeral Home of Keim & Wilson, 107 West Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, on Saturday, Oct. 1st, at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment in Grove M.E. Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening.
Mr. Stackhouse was born at Ship Road, a son of John C. and Lydia Stackhouse. He was a carpenter by trade and followed this work for many years. Later he served as a motorman for the West Chester Street Railway Company for seven years. With Harry Wilson, of West Chester, as conductor they took the first car over the Pennsylvania Railroad bridge into Coatesville.
His wife, Abi Miller Stackhouse, survives, and there are two children, William J. and Daniel M. both of Morstein. There is one granddaughter, Hazel May Stackhouse. Two children are deceased. Mr. Stackhouse was widely known in this community.

The funeral of Asaph Stackhouse, who died at his home at Morstein, Tuesday at the advanced age of 82 years, was held from the Keim and Wilson Funeral Home, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Many relatives and friends were in attendance.
Services were in charge of the Rev. Warren Hackman, pastor of Grove M.E.Church. Interment was in Grove M.E. Cemetery.
