Wife of Thomas Ollie Davis, married in 1909.∼Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Celia Davis, 80, of 3715 NE 71st Ave., housewife and former school teacher who died Friday, were held Monday at Ross Hollywood Chapel with burial in Valley View Cemetery at Newberg.
Born in Cimarron, Kan., Mrs. Davis came to Oregon in 1907 and taught school on Chehalem Mountain and north of Newberg as Mabel Celia Blaylock. She returned to Missouri to marry Thomas O. Davis and the family returned to Oregon in 1921. She had made her home in Portland since 1936, was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Portland, and of Euclid Chapter of Eastern Star at Jefferson.
Survivors include three sons, Howard L., Noel and D. Wesley; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Malkasian, all of Portland; a brother, Thomas R. Blaylock, Seattle; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
