A Captain of Augusta County, VA Troops. He was an Indian fighter and a Captain under Colonel Benjamin Logan.

He came to Kentucky in April 1779 and made a "settlement" on Hickman's Creek for which he was awarded a pre-emption certificate by the Virginia Land Commission meeting at Bryan Station in 1780. He bought land in Jessamine Co., KY 1783, but continued to live in St. Asaphs. Will probated 1817 Jessamine Co., KY.
