Mrs. Bachelor was born on a farm in Belmont county, Ohio, June 9, 1846. Her family relocated to Illinois, Iowa and then Kansas.
She was married to A. B. Bachelor at Belleville, Kansas June 5, 1873. To this union were born two children, F. R. Bachelor of Belleville and J. G. Bachelor of Cuba. Besides her immediate family, Mrs. Bachelor leaves three brothers, two sisters and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn.
