Originally buried at the Largent family Cemetery south of Slanesville, removed to Indian Mound Cemetery.

Sarah and her husband founded a nursing home in Romney in 1882 and they took over operation of the Glebe Poor Farm in 1908, managing it for 37 years.

Her obituary came be found in the April 20, 1959 issue of The Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland.
