Obituary
Perry Felix Goodson, age 83, of Miramar Beach, Fla., passed away June 10, 2008.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1924, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Perry was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1945, earning thePurple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross medals.
He retired after 35 years with the State of Alabama and served as an elder at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn Buckner Goodson of Miramar Beach; daughter, Carolyn Dzelzkains (Ace) of Arlington, Texas; son, Perry Goodson Jr. (Nancy) of Rockford, Ala.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (Sadie) Goodson; and one sister, Ruth Rodgers.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Destin, Fla., with the Rev. Dewey Roberts officiating.
