This is my father's gravestone. In WWII he was awarded the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars w/ V and two Purple Hearts. He served as a medic. My Dad was an intelligent, humourous, engaging man who was a wonderful husband and a fabulous father to me and my sister Jane. He was raised in despression poverty and, through hard work and persistence, lived the American dream. He is sorely missed. His wife, Gertrude Bratcher is now 89 years young.
