Erna V. Boehl, 80, of 400 Poinsettia Drive, died at 6 a.m. Monday (April 15, 1996) in the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina, Mo.
Born Dec. 30, 1915, in Hannibal, Mo., she was a daughter of Ernest and Ida Schnitzer Hehmeyer. She married Arthur Frank Boehl Aug. 20, 1937, in Quincy. He died Jan. 9, 1996.
A graduate of Hannibal High School, Mrs. Boehl was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and a former member and past president of its Ladies Aid. She also volunteered at Blessing Hospital and with the Red Cross blood drives.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Les (Jane) Fawcett of Newark, Mo., Mrs. George (Sue) Demitroulas of Valparaiso, Ind., and Mrs. Pat Nesmith of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Steve Smith and Janice Jamison, both of Beardstown, and Jennifer and Melissa Nesmith of Bloomington; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ellen Rogers of Springfield and Mildred Dean of Columbia, Mo. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bruce Smith.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church by the Rev. Larry Troxel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
