Edna C. Barnard, 87, Church of God Home, Carlisle and formerly of Palmyra, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in the Church of God Home. Born May 3, 1918 in Duncannon, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Irene Baker Cook. Edna retired on May 4, 1979 as a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of the Camp Hill Church of God and was a Past Worthy Matron, Order of the Eastern Star, Palmyra Chapter #402. Surviving are her son, Larry E. Turns and his wife, Kathy of Grantham, NH; sisters, Beatrice Malseed of Newport and Frances Wagner of Duncannon; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Barnard, Jr.; sister, Myrtle Wolfe, and brother, Thomas Cook. Funeral Tuesday, February 28, at Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hershey.
