Issac BRISCOE was born in Virginia (possibly Kentucky County - later to become Commonwealth of Kentucky)and married Hester KYLE 3/3/1811 in Hawkins County, Tennessee. He was a veteran of War of 1812 (Virginia Militia - Botetourt County). Family moved to Texas in December 1845 from Missouri. Settled in the Kaufman County area (near Forney). He died there on 2/12/1864. A veteran's gravestone was erected on gravesite. Next to Isaac is wife - Hester. Isaac and family are recognized as true pioneers of Kaufman County, Texas by being named on the "Kaufman County Wall of Honor" at the Kaufman County Library in Kaufman, Texas.
