Thomas Lincoln Garland, aged 71, of Rt. 4, Batesville, died Thursday, June 14, 1973, in a Batesville hospital. Born in Bakersfield, Mo., he was a farmer and a Pentecost.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Arnold Garland of the home; one son, Thomas Garland of Guion; one step-son, James Hightower of Batesville; three daughters, Agnes Case and Cleta Bishop both of Rt. 4; Veda Godfrey of Bald Knob; one step-daughter, May Pierce of Batesville; one brother, Bill Garland of Delano, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Jewel Douglas of Plaqueminne, La.; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was Sat., June 16, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church with Bro. Everett Fulbright officiating Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home.
