Jared Scott Jensen, born February 5, 1976, beloved husband of Natalie (nee Padula), beloved son of Debby Hudson and Thomas Jensen, stepson of Cliff Hudson and Marilyn Wells, beloved brother of Sergeant Jeffrey Jensen (Colorado Springs Police Department) and Jonika (Jensen) Winkler, step-brother, of Jim Hudson, Jeff Hudson, Pamela Wells and Jacqueline Wells brother-in-law of Meridith Jensen, Dawn Hudson, Lindsey Sloan and John Winkler, uncle of Courtney Pool, Kyle Jensen, McKenna Hudson, Aaron Winkler and Faith JS Winkler and grandson of Donald and Marjorie DePrey and Thomas and Delores Birchall. Jared was preceded in death by two of his sisters, Jonika Lynn and Jon-Anna Marie. Jared was a Colorado Springs Police Detective who was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, February 22, 2006. He had been a member of the Colorado Springs Police Department for 3 and 1/2 years. Prior to that time he was a professional actor, as is his wife, Natalie. Both graduated from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. Among his many hobbies and interests, Jared was an avid NASCAR racing fan and golfer. Throughout his life, Jared's caring heart was truly evident in his love of animals, his devotion to family and friends, and his loyalty to his fellow officers with whom he served. Jared was a dedicated police officer who had a passion for defending the law as a member of the Colorado Springs Police Department. Visitation services will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, February 27th beginning at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 11025 Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs. Burial will be private.
