The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 5, at St. Mary Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Frederick Davis, Ametha Randall, and Fred Randall officiating. Burial followed at Strong Memorial Garden with pallbearers Sammy Larry, Jack Larry, Johnny Jackson, Ben Bazile, Willie Wilson, Melvin Cole, Johnny Wilson, and John Griffin.
Born on February 8, 1934, in Meridian, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Dixon, Jr.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Willie Ann McShane.
Survivors include her husband, A.C. Jackson of Moultrie; sons, Johnny McShane and his wife Robin of Rockville, Conn., Eugene McShane and his wife Catherine of Miami and Willie J. McShane Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Dale City, Va.; daughters, Ann Bazile and her husband Bruno and Sharon Spencer and her husband Paul, all of Moultrie; brother, Z.L. Dixon and his wife Elizabeth of Moultrie; sister, Easter M. Spears of Meridian, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
