Services for Clyde Pittman, 77, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Perez and Rev. Ken Horn officiating.

Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX.

Mr. Pittman died Monday, July 26, 2004, in Lubbock, TX.

He was born February 4, 1927 in Clarkesville, TX. He married Ruby Nell Parker, February 22, 1946 in Clarksville. He served in the US Army from 1945 until 1947. They moved to Abernathy in 1947 from Clarksville, where he became a member of the Northside Baptist Church and also served as Deacon.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Pittman in 1975, two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Nell Pittman of Abernathy, TX, a daughter Sharon Trammell and her husband Randy of Slaton, TX, 1 brother, Charlie Pittman of Grand Prairie, TX 3 sisters, Dot Hilliard and Ima Lee Edwards both of Arlington, TX, and Fay Williams of Abernathy, TX, 2 grandchildren, Laura Patterson and her husband Clint of Amarillo, TX, and Brad Trammell of Slaton, TX.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Northside Baptist Church or to a favorite charity.
