Bernard Merlyn Houtz, 77, of Brinnon, Washington, died in the Bremerton, Washington Memorial Hospital November 30, 1994. He was born July 20, 1917, to Heber Hall and Isabell Robertson Houtz. He married Alice Barker June 5, 1942, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced. He married Cathern Lois Jones November 16, 1952. They were sealed at the Mesa, Arizona Temple. He is survived by his wife of Brinnon; a step-son, Clyde Leo Farrer of american Fork, Utah; two brothers and three sisters: Keith H. Houtz, Springville, Utah; Vince R. Houtz, Taylorsville, Utah; Mildred H. Bray, Bountiful, Utah; Marjorie H. Larsen, Mapleton, Utah; Vera H. Meriwether, Murray, Utah. a brother, Rex and a sister, Lois, preceded him in death.
