Mr. Scott was a native of Bridgewater, Iowa. He lived in Salinas one year and previously lived in Modesto.
He was a residential painter.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Scott of Salinas; son, Marlo Scott; and two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 1p.m. Saturday at Northminster Presbyterian Church, Salinas, with burial to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
