The sudden death of John A. Dille occurred at his home on North Monticello street Monday afternoon after only a short illness from pneumonia. He was taken ill about midnight Saturday night but had been in poor health for some time.
John Alexander Dille was born December 7, 1857 in Fulton county and was 71 years of age at the time of his death. Forty years ago he moved to this county and February 17, 1889, was married to Barbara Miller, He followed the occupation of Farming until 30 years ago when they moved to Winamac.
He is survived by the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Ocie Hasting, of Delphi, and Mrs. Elsie McCloskey, of Minneapolis, Minn., one son, Harry of South Bend and a step son, John Miller, of Norma, Iowa; also 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, 1 son and 2 daughters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church and burial was made in the local cemetery.--
