Bertie Dodson Hackley, 89, of Amissville, died Dec. 1 at Fauquier Hospital.
Mrs. Hackley was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie James Hackley, three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her son, James Theodore "Bobby" Hackley of Omaha, Neb.; her daughters, Jean Burner and Doris Sealock, both of Amissville; an adopted son, Michael Haymaker of Chesterfield, Va.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include her brothers, Acrey Dodson of Viewtown, Robert Dodson of Bealeton, and Milton Dodson of Grand Junction, Colo.; and two sisters, Mattie Hackley and Florine Smith, both of Amissville.
Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at Amissville Baptist Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
