Cherished daughter of the late Virgil and Verna Carter; beloved wife of 63 years to Attis “Lark” Smith, devoted mother of Greg (Sandy) Smith; dear sister of Myrla (Glen) Jent, and the late Glenn Carter, Anna Lea Voils and Gerald Carter; loving grandmother of Jayme (Tyler) Gray, Jessica (Bill) Werner and Josh Smith; great-grandmother of Kyle (Brittany) Lawrence, Morgan Lawrence, and Addyson Sowders; great-great-grandmother of Oliver and Oakley Lawrence; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Bea graced her family members and friends with a tender heart and a mindful disposition. She was a long-time member of Burlington Baptist Church. Bea dedicated her life’s work as a beautician hairstylist, for the past 49 years. Countless laughs, stories, and tears were shared and shed at her residence salon. She transformed hair into style and customers into lifelong friends. Bea’s talents, however, were not limited to the salon chair. She was a respected real estate broker and an exceptional baker. Bea’s cream pies were unmatched and coveted by every local sweet tooth. Bea was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY. Funeral Service will start at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
