The Gridley Twice-A-Week Herald, Saturday, November 9, 1918, pg 1 col 5: Gridley Young Man Dies of Influenza. Harold Borrowman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Borrowman of Gridley, died Wednesday night after a few days illness with influenza. He was 26 years of age and leaves besides his parents his wife and three small children.

The father was in Utah on a business trip, and on being notified of the death of his son left immediately for home. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until he arrives.
