Folk Figure. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bodden was a AB on the SS Marine Sulphur Queen, the first liquid sulfur tanker. The tanker left Beaumont, Texas, in February 1963, and was heading to Norfolk, Virginia. It disappeared about 200 miles off Key West, Florida, in the area known as the Bermuda Triangle, with 39 persons on board. It is one of the Bermuda Triangle's great mysteries.
