Albert Scrivner Dies at 89 Years
Albert E. Scrivner of St. Charles, a retired farmer and life-time resident of Madison county, died Monday, March 13, at Madison Manor here. He was 89 years of age.
Mr. Scrivner was born at St. Charles July 29, 1882, a son of Thomas and Martha Martin Scrivner. He was married Oct. 16, 1910, to Blanche Young, who preceded him in death.
He had retired from farming in 1965.
Surviving are a son, James Scrivner of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Storck of Van Meter; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. E. A. Breiholz of Van Meter. Burial will be made in Blair Chapel cemetery near St. Charles.
