Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Flora Mae Trammell Baird, a brother, Arthur Baird, six sisters, an infant sister, Maggie Nannie Stephens, Ida Lay, Essie Stephens, Dora Brown, and Della Kerry, and a granddaughter, Sandy Baird Keith.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Davis Baird, two sons, Eddie Baird and his wife, Betty, of Strunk, Kentucky and Charles David Baird and his wife, Sue, of Strunk, Kentucky, a daughter, Anna Lou Sharp and her husband, Richard, of Goshen, Ohio, two brothers, Andrew Baird of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Arless Baird and his wife, Ruth of Manchester, Kentucky, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
