Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for John S. Gosling, 86, of Collins who passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Covington County Hospital.
Reverend Jake Sanford will officiate at the services with interment to follow at the Collins City Cemetery with military rites. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be friends and fellow veterans.
Mr. Gosling, a New Orleans, Louisiana native, was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Mr. Gosling was a resident of the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Gosling and Marguerite McCloskey Gosling; and one sister, Marjorie K. Gosling.
Survivors include the staff and residents of the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, Mississippi.
