Larry T. McDorman, 50, of 3200 Revels street, Springfield, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 30, 1991, at 4:30 a.m. in Community Hospital. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, April 23, 1941, and was raised by his adoptive parents, Homer and Dorothy (Wagner) McDorman and his second mother, JoAnn Whitacre. He was a graduate of Southeastern High School and was employed at Navistar for 24 years, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He had served several years on the church board and as a Sunday School teacher. He had also led several Bible studies and has served with his wife Sharon A. (May). Whom he married December 7, 1973; two sons, Michael J. McDorman of Springfield, Mark A. McDorman of Denver, Colorado and a daughter, Mendy J. McDorman of Springfield, Ohio; a brother David McDorman of West Palm Beach, Florida; two nieces, Karie and Candy; several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his adoptive father Homer McDorman in 1964. Friends may call at the Jackson, Lytle & Coffman Funeral Home, North Limestone Chapel, Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 901 East Home Road, with Rev. Claude Nicholas officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Mausoleum.
