He was a superintendent in bridge construction.
He was a member of PML Homeowners Association.
He enjoyed fishing, politics, history, reading and storytelling.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rodgers of Groveland; children, Christopher Rodgers of San Jose and Kimberly Culbertson of Union City; brother, Sherwood Rodgers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose.
Heuton Memorial Chapel, Sonora, in charge of arrangements.
