"ROBERT W. WALTON

"Robert W. Walton, 61, of Shelbyville, died Thursday afternoon in Major Hospital.

"He was born Aug.18, 1930, in Shelbyville, the son of David Edmund and Cora M. (Swango) Walton.

"Mr. Walton was married to Jean (Cummings) Walton on Aug. 29, 1953, and she survives.

"He retired from Overhead Door after 30 years of service in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

"Mr. Walton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a combat engineer in the 45th Division.

"Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robin Perkins officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home. Burial will be at Van Pelt Cemetery near Waldron.

"Other survivors are three daughters, Leesa Walton, Lori Walton and Denise Walton, all of Shelbyville; and sisters, Mrs. John (Deloris) Miller of Lebanon, Ind., and Evelyn P. Walton of Grand Blanc, Mich.

"One brother preceded him in death.

"Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert W. Walton Chimes Memorial of the First Baptist Church."
