Funeral services for Earl Capps Spencer, 49, of 402 South Third St., were held this afternoon in the chapel of Cosmopolitan Funeral home.
Rousseau G. Cullom officiated and burial was in Mt. Juliet.
Mr. Spencer, native of Waverly, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at his home. In 1926 he moved to Nashville and was married to the former Marie Clark who survives.
Survivors in addition to his widow, include his father. E. J. Spencer of Richmond, Calif.; two sons, William Howard Spencer of New Orleans, and James Edward Spencer of St. Petersburg; a daughter, Miss Brenda Ann Spencer of Nashville; a sister, Mrs. J. E. Allen of Nashville: a half-sister, Mrs. J. P. Castleman of Palmetto, Fla.: a half-brother, Roy Brandon, of Nashville; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Gossett. Leamon Gossett. J. W. Gossett Henslee Stewart, Thomas Lee Stewart and Robert Clark.
