Alice Grayson "Granny" Andrews, age 82, a resident of Trinity, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014.

She was born on April 22, 1932 in Rutherford County, NC to the late William Roy Grayson, Sr., and Ollie St. Claire Grayson and had been a resident of this area most of her life. She worked at Anvil Brand and later with Prelude where she retired with many years of service. She was a long time active member of Allen Jay Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She loved her Lord and enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Clyde Andrews, her 2 sisters, Lucille Grayson and Norma Tyner, and her brother William Roy Grayson, Jr.

Surviving are her daughters, Jane Murr and her husband Ron and Dolly Andrews all of Trinity; her grandchildren, Rodney Jarrett and his wife Hope, Sam Jarrett and his wife Jeanne, Jeff Murr and His wife Jackie, Alicia Todd and her husband Jason, and Stephen Murr and his companion Sarah. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Cody Walker, Evan Jarrett, Savannah Jarrett, Natalie Jarrett, Blake Todd, Shelby Todd, Jaxon Todd, Michael Murr and her faithful canine companion, Rusty.

A service to celebrate Granny's life will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Roger Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Memorials in Granny's memory may be sent to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
