Deborah Robinson Stansberry, age 60, of Crabtree, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 8th, 2014 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of late Albert and Daphne Sparks Silver. Deborah was a member of Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her loving husband, Dwight Stansberry; daughters: Chastity Grindstaff and husband, Wayne, of Crabtree and Shanna Clark and husband, Bobby, of South Toe; step-sons: Scott Stansberry of Bakersville, Bradley Standsberry of Asheville and Chris Stansberry and wife, Christi, of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren: Kennedi Grindstaff, Katie Grindstaff, Tyler Clark, Elijah Standsberry, Kennley Stansberry, Gabby Stansberry and Bryden Standsberry; sister, Norma Ledbetter of Weaverville and a brother, Richard Silver and wife, Connie, of Crabtree and four nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Rev. Fred Proctor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
