Mrs. Linzay was born Nov 7, 1922 in McAllen, TX, to Fred Charles and Bertha Mae Wilson Newlon.
She wasa lietime resident of Maryville, and she was a member of the US Navy, serving in World War II. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and she attended Northwest Missouri State Teacher's College in Maryville. She was a legal secretary for Prosecuting Attorney Gene Thompson. She was also a former deputy sheriff of Nodaway County. She was a member of the Maryville First Presbyterian Church and the James Edward Gray American Legion Post No.100, both of Maryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Tassy McMahon, Kansas City, and Sue Linzay, Kansas City; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 10, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo.
Burial was in the Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, Mo.
